Abstract
The presentation of patients at the trauma unit complaining of elbow pain following a fall onto an outstretched hand is a common occurrence and radiological examination is often helpful to detect bony abnormality. This short communication describes a radiographic technique that may be useful in the demonstration of the antero-posterior projection of the radial head where full extension of the elbow is unobtainable. The text is supported by pictures to indicate how the patient is positioned and also images to demonstrate the radiographic appearances.
