Abstract</b
> We describe a relatively safe technique for the removal of a cemented acetabular cup using multiple drill holes in the polyethylene cup. This technique helps to keep the integrity of the acetabular ring such that only the cup with the cement is removed. This technique has been shown to be relatively safe where a significant medial acetabular wall defect exists. We have been using this technique for several years with excellent results.
