Summary
All aspects of proximal humeral fractures produce much debate. From classsification systems to modes of treatment and rehabilitation, the influence of patient age and management of complications all may lead to confusion. Here we aim to give a balanced, contemporary overview of the subject and provide suggestions as to how to approach these injuries.
