Achilles tendinopathy can affect both athletes and nonathletes, causing disability. If conservative treatment fails to produce desired results in noninsertional tendinopathy, percutaneous longitudinal tenotomy can be perfomed in 2 different ways. These procedures are performed under local anesthesia without tourniquet control. Early postoperative mobilization is encouraged to prevent adhesion formation.
